Feria de San Miguel

Location: Feria Grounds (Los Remedios)
Dates: 22 - 24 Sep

For many years - about 30, actually - this fair was put on hold in Seville, until it's revival in 2001. Now 4 years strong, the Feria de San Miguel in Seville is an attraction which has a strong draw both inside and outside of Spain. The site is the Feria grounds, where the more famous Feria de Abril is held every year. And in some respects this is mini-Feria de Abril, complete with attractions, horses, music, food and dance. There are two bullfights scheduled for the 23rd and 24th as well. In keeping with it's origins the fair has much to do with cattle, with a strong presence of ganaderos.

Festival de las Naciones
Location: Parque Maria Luisa - Plaza de America
Dates: 30 Sep - 1 Nov
After a year on the other side of the river, the Festival returns to Parque Maria Luisa. This time around the Festival de las Naciones in Sevilla will be in it's 12th year. The Festival runs for over a month, from the beginning of October to early November. You can sample different foods at the various stands. Almost all include seating and table service, if you can get a table. Also part of the Festival are musical and dance performances as well as plenty of small shops where you can "shop by country". More information on my page dedicated to the festival.

Cine de Verano
Locations: Patio de la Diputación, Alameda, Buhaira and CC. San Pablo
Dates: July to beginning of September
A cheap way to enjoy a movie (2€), with semi-recent releases and films from around the world. All in an outdoor setting complete with a bar, popcorn, hot dogs, sandwiches, tapas, beer and drinks. Cines de verano, what amounts to an outdoor screening, are a part of summer in Seville. Take your pick from 4 locations around the city. I really love these and the ability to get up and stretch your legs without missing any of the action. It's like a drive-in without the cars.
