Cordoba is often a recommended day trip, although a night's
stay means you won't have to rush and can sample some good
restaurants such as Casa Pepe and El Caballo Rojo. The main
sights are the Cathedral/Mezquita, the Alcazar and Roman
bridge, all located very close to each other. The narrow
streets in the historic center of Cordoba also are fun to
explore and will lead you to other sights such as the synagogue.
A morning bus ride to the Medina Azahara, just outside the
city, allows you to explore some very important ruins from
